Buyer and owner guidance

Questions,
answered clearly.

Practical guidance about choosing, configuring and supporting an Ilesbus by Trek vehicle.

Guide 01

Vehicles and specification

Choosing the right foundation and shaping it around its intended passengers.

What is the difference between a minibus and a minicoach?

The terms often overlap. A minibus is generally a compact passenger vehicle intended for shorter routes, private transport or operational duties. A minicoach places greater emphasis on touring comfort, luggage capacity and longer-distance passenger travel. Our team will recommend a vehicle family according to the intended duty, passenger requirements and final specification.

Which chassis manufacturers are available?

The Ilesbus by Trek range includes vehicles developed on Mercedes-Benz, Iveco and MAN foundations, depending on the selected model and application. The appropriate chassis is confirmed as part of the vehicle specification and quotation process.

Can the seating layout and interior be customised?

Yes. Seating direction, passenger layout, materials, trim, technology and other conversion choices can be considered around the vehicle's intended use. Every final specification remains subject to engineering review, vehicle constraints and approval within the signed order.

Can you discuss accessible passenger transport requirements?

Yes. Tell us about the passengers, operating environment and access requirements involved. The team can then discuss suitable vehicle families and equipment. Any regulatory or compliance position will be confirmed against the final approved specification rather than assumed from a general enquiry.

Guide 02

Configurator and buying process

Turning an initial idea into a useful starting brief for the team.

How does the vehicle configurator work?

The configurator guides you through chassis, length, trim, body model, conversion options, factory options and colour choices. It creates a structured starting brief that you can send to the Ilesbus by Trek team for review.

Does a configurator selection form a final vehicle specification?

No. Configurator selections are indicative and do not form a quotation, order or confirmed technical specification. Availability, compatibility, capacity and final pricing are reviewed by the team before a formal proposal is issued.

Can the team help refine my configuration?

Yes. You can begin with the configurator or contact us with a simple operational brief. We can help identify the most appropriate starting model and discuss the layout, finishes and equipment required.

Do you support fleet, dealer and export enquiries?

Yes. The contact form includes dedicated routes for fleet and operator buyers, dealers and distributors, and export enquiries. Select the relevant enquiry type so your request reaches the team with the right context.

Guide 03

Warranty and aftersales

A clear route for warranty, servicing and vehicle support questions.

What warranty applies to the base vehicle?

Mercedes-Benz vehicles include a three-year unlimited-mileage warranty. Iveco products include a three-year or 100,000-mile warranty, whichever occurs first. Cover for any other base vehicle is confirmed with the selected model. The signed order and warranty documents supplied with the vehicle confirm the cover that applies to the final chassis and specification.

What does the Ilesbus by Trek warranty support?

Every new vehicle is supported by a comprehensive three-year warranty covering qualifying bus body parts, components and defects, subject to the applicable warranty terms. The warranty and service guide supplied with the vehicle provides the definitive details.

Why is the service schedule important?

Following the required maintenance instructions and service intervals helps protect the vehicle and its warranty cover. Failure to follow the maintenance guidance may affect a later warranty assessment.

How do I begin a warranty support request?

Call 01865 20 30 40, email sales@ilesbusbytrek.com, or choose Warranty enquiry on the contact form. Please provide the vehicle details and a clear description of the issue so the team can identify the appropriate support route.
